KOI POND IN LINE BIO FILTER 5LT(PRESSURISED) UNIT IS EMPTY

The 5L BioFilter is specifically designed for koi ponds or fish tanks with a volume range of 3,000 to 4,500 liters. This system is engineered to be installed inline following a mechanical solid separator filter. It facilitates biological filtration for up to 4,500L using 120 blue bio balls.

Key Features:

• Capacity: Suitable for koi ponds or fish tanks ranging from 3,000L to 4,500L.
• Bio Media Requirement: Utilizes 120 blue bio balls (not included), enhancing biological filtration.
• Functionality: Efficiently transforms harmful ammonia into nitrite, then into safer nitrate, improving water quality and fish health.

Understanding Biofiltration:

This biofilter acts as a residence for beneficial bacteria essential for the nitrogen cycle. These bacteria convert toxic ammonia, produced by fish waste and other organic materials, into nitrite and then into nitrate. The filter’s design offers a large surface area for bacteria, ensuring they receive the necessary nutrients and oxygen for their lifecycle.
